Sir,

GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

HONGKONG. 3rd September, 1914.

Plan A

I have the honour to enclose a plan of the

Yaumati District of Kowloon, shewing in red Inland Lots Nos.106, 107, 108 and 109, and in green an adjoining area of Crown land, the disposal of which has become pressing owing to the approach- ing completion of Nathan and Gascoigne Roads. These roads are

completed as far as Inland Lot No.1011 and are now being carried

through to a junction. The subsequent projected course of the

former is shewn traced in dotted lines.

2.

Reference to the plan will shew that the insuffic-

ient depths of the area in question and its situation relative

to Nathan Road precludes its disposal to other purchasers than

the lotholders of the area coloured red, as it would then be

necessary by the provisions of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance of 1903 to provide a street in continuation of Woo Sung Street for the houses on the cross-hatched area, leaving two valueless triangular pieces of ground available.

3.

I propose therefore subject to your approval to permit the owners of Inland Lots Nos -106, 107, 108 and 109 to extend their lots by the inclusion of the respective portions of the area coloured green, the lines of demarcation to be as shown in dotted lines. This arrangement will ensure a frontage on

Nathan Road for all the lotholders.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

LEWIS HARCOURT, M.P..
